STEM Enrichment
STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, speak to particular industries that remain at the forefront of importance in any sector in need of forward-thinking problem solving and solutions.
Historically, STEM fields have been dominated by white men with little to no inclusion of women or people of color until recent decades. With this ever-present gap, the Be. Org works to keep STEM principles, topics, and teachings at the forefront of their programmatic efforts to ensure students not only are exposed to STEM, but empowers them to know their unique brilliance and passions have a rightful place in the industry.

Programs
Be. Virtual
As a youth-built virtual reality SEL and STEM curriculum, high school students have the chance to learn valuable workforce development in coding, gamification, and transferable life skills. Our goals include equipping students with coding and programming, gaining tech certification, further critical thinking skills, and overcoming adversity.
The Food Playground
In partnership with Black Girls Cook, The Food Program (TFP) provides a comprehensive culinary-focused STEM program for adolescent youth of color to explore ecosystems and food systems. TFP teaches STEM concepts and offers self-actualization activities and life skills using culinary arts and edible gardening. Our goals include fostering a safe and supportive space, practicing life skills, and gaining exposure to STEM and Culinary Arts.
