Financial Advice on Financial Awareness Day!

When we talk to Baltimore Youth, one of the most common topics they express needing help on is finances. With personal finance not often covered in a traditional education setting, we're thrilled to have our incredible partners at PNC Bank sharing their best tips and insights!

1. Pay Yourself First

It's always great to reward yourself and celebrate your hard work before you start to spend.

2. Shop Around

There are different banks and institutions out in the world that offer different benefits and rates that may connect with your spending habits and the financial goals that you have set for yourself. Shop around and connect with a bank that makes the most sense for you.

3. Set Reasonable Goals for Your Budget

Making sure your budget is in line with your income and spending habits will help reach your financial goals at an easier rate and may help your new, upcoming goals.

4. Discipline Yourself As Much As Possible When Spending

There are so many ways to become disciplined when it comes to your finances. Try giving yourself a limit to spend or a no-spend month to help you meet your savings goals.

5. It's OK To Mess Up

Messing up happens from time to time, we're only human after all. As long as you can get yourself back on track you will be ready to reach those financial goals!
